My thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Chelsea, who was found on Tuesday afternoon buried in a shallow grave by the lake at Rancho Bernardo Community Park.

Now that we have cable Internet here (installed on Monday), I am able to find and post stuff much faster than before. Have you noticed that I’ve been posting more? Well, that is why! I’m so excited and just wanted to give you all the heads up that you can expect MORE from now on. I do this because I love it! Could you share that love by telling your friends about this blog? The more subscribers, followers, fans, and so on that I have, the more opportunities I have. In the blog world, small numbers aren’t good enough for some blog directories, affiliate networks, contests, product review opportunities, etc. Please help me grow! Please subscribe (at the top of the right sidebar), follow me, or fan me. If you do, thank you so much! If you don’t, I’ll still let you read the blog, but I might give you a steely eyeball stare now and then. LOL!Also, if you are a homeschooler, don’t forget about my homeschool sites EvergreenHomeEd.org (a mostly static web site for homeschoolers with lots of links) and EvergreenHomeEd.net (a frequently updated blog to accompany the web site). As new and unknown as The Friendly Frugalista is, my homeschool sites are even newer and more unknown. I’m doing my best to upgrade and update them so that they are worthy of followers. :o) While I don’t have a facebook fan page (yet) for Evergreen, I do have a Twitter account, TheEHEblog. Please follow me, if you are interested in homeschool deals and news. While I do post some of the homeschool stuff here, most if it goes on the EHE site/blog!If you’re in an area that participates in Daylight Savings Time, change those clocks tonight before you go to bed. Remember that you are adding an hour! And, if you don’t want to lose an hour of sleep, you’ll need to go to bed an hour early tonight. That is usually hard for me to do. But, tonight, I shouldn’t have a problem with it. I only slept 5 hours last night, so going to bed early tonight “should” be a piece of cake! Also, remember to change those smoke/fire detector batteries! The life you save could be yours! :o)I discovered Sew Can Do today while hopping around the Friday Follow blog hop. And, wow, there are a lot of great ideas there. But, this one really caught my eye. And, since I already posted a link to a tutorial for the boys boxers, it only seems fair to post a link relevant to girls. :o)Sew Can Do’s Newborn to New Size Clothes tutorial shows you how to extend the life of those itty bitty baby clothes that babies wear for about 3 hours. LOL! I wish I had known about this when my daughter (now 15) was little! Don’t have a girl? Well, there’s an idea for extending the life of a boy’s sleeper too.
[Image copied from the tutorial at Sew Can Do.] I follow the blog Trendy Treehouse and participate in their Follow Me Fridays blog hop. Today, Nancy, guest blogger from Nancy’s Couture, offered a tutorial on how to turn your child’s favorite (outgrown) T-shirt into a pair of boxers. T-shirt Trunks? Gotta love it!
[Image copied from the tutorial at Trendy Treehouse.] So, our monstrosity of a computer desk (a computer armoire, actually) is finally in its new home – our younger son’s old bedroom. DH & I broke it down, moved the “core,” and put it back together. We bought it YEARS ago and it has served us well. But, it is a bear to move! The company doesn’t even sell this armoire model any more. They probably decided it was too big. LOL! Anyway, all of our tech stuff is plugged back in and working. That’s the good news! :o)Now for the bad news…I just really don’t feel well right now. I have a stomach ache, a touch of a headache, and a hint of a sore throat. Maybe it’s from all the dust on, under, and behind the desk? DH found a dusty bunny so big, he thought it was a dead rat. Seriously! Those bunnies grow big over 5+ years! But, anyway, I knew I couldn’t make it to spring without getting sick. My youngest has had a sore throat for several days. As hard as I tried not to let him breathe on me, I knew it would get me too. We almost made it to spring. Almost! I really shouldn’t complain. Last year, one of my boys had pneumonia and the other had bronchitis. We’ve avoided the plague this winter. So, what’s a sore throat, really, in the scheme of things? Anyway, I’m going to take a nap…and maybe I’ll feel more “posty” later. If you’re here from Friday Follow, WELCOME! I’m sorry I didn’t get “dressed up” for you. LOL!I came across another site dedicated to FREE books. This one is all about children’s books and even has some of the books translated into foreign languages. COOL! :o) They offer PDF files of the actual books (not audio), so you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you don’t have it, you can download it from the book site. As always, it’s free to download the reader!Click a link to open the form:March Mail-In and E-Rebates Form (Valid through March 31, 2010h 31, 2010

My Sincere Apologies to “Friday Follow” Commenters
I just found your comments in my spam folder. I don’t get a lot of comments in general. And the “spam” comments that Akismet censors usually ARE spam. So, I hadn’t checked recently. Well, I finally found them, and read them, and approved them. :o) They are now posted and I will get back to each of you soon! Thank you for stopping by!
